LOROS is asking supporters in Melton to help support this year’s annual Hospice Care Week by visiting LOROS Local when it comes to town next week.
LOROS has been honoured with the Community Partnership Award by Highcross at their Annual Outstanding Service Awards evening at the Showcase Cinema de Lux in Leicester.
David aced the 24 mile challenge with a little help from his friends
David Needham, of Cold Newton, who has Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and is a patient at LOROS Hospice, completed the challenge in a specially made Mountain Trike in less than 24 hours.
The event, which is taking place on Sunday 15th October, is only possible thanks to the hundreds of volunteers who continue to turn up to lend a hand and this year is no different. From handing goody bags, giving out medals, to helping to control the crowd and marshals, there really is a job for everyone.
A 70-year-old mother and her daughters will be jumping 13,000 feet from a plane in memory of her husband after he died at LOROS Hospice.
