Imagine being dropped off in the middle of nowhere, with no shelter and only the clothes in your bag pack to keep you warm, made to fend for yourself for the next 36 hours. More than 20 fundraisers recently found themselves in this situation as they took on the latest challenge for LOROS, ‘Into The Wild’.
More than 500 supporters turned out to enjoy a cocktail of delicious food, a glass of fizz and plenty of sunshine at this year’s ‘A Day at the Polo’ for LOROS.
Passionate about supporting the local community, Westerby Investment Management and Westerby Trustee Services, have once again invested into sponsorship of the tournament, which will also raise funds for LOROS.
Local organisations from across the city and county have helped raise more than £20,000 for LOROS by taking part in this year’s Accumulator Challenge.
Organised by HSBC, more than 16 organisations helped raise nearly £3,000 for the Hospice by taking part in the HSBC competition, which is in its eighth year.
LOROS is once again teaming up with The Great Central Railway for the event, giving participants the chance to take a walk through the beautiful Leicestershire countryside before riding a train from Rothley Station.
More than 200 singers have come together to raise the roof for LOROS at this year’s ‘We Sing for LOROS’ event.
