Local organisations from across the city and county have helped raise more than £20,000 for LOROS by taking part in this year’s Accumulator Challenge.
Organised by HSBC, more than 16 organisations helped raise nearly £3,000 for the Hospice by taking part in the HSBC competition, which is in its eighth year.
LOROS is once again teaming up with The Great Central Railway for the event, giving participants the chance to take a walk through the beautiful Leicestershire countryside before riding a train from Rothley Station.
More than 200 singers have come together to raise the roof for LOROS at this year’s ‘We Sing for LOROS’ event.
“My love for food is in the blood, it’s in the family and being able to combine my passion for cooking with supporting a charity is something really special.”
A show called ‘Happy and Glorious’ was performed at Leicester’s Curve, to commemordate the 90th birthday of Her Majesty, The Queen. Hosted by Jennifer, Lady Gretton it raised an amazing £6,200 for charity.
Wendy Marshall, who has recently returned to work at LOROS, has been awarded for the impact she has since made on research in the medical sector.
The East Midlands offices of international accountancy and advisory firm, Mazars, have raised over £1,350 for LOROS at their annual Ladies’ Afternoon Tea event.
