37.5 hours per week - working 4 in 7 days to include Bank Holidays

We are looking for a proactive and passionate individual, with attention for detail, to support our catering team in the delivery of high quality catering services at the LOROS Hospice site. This includes a 31-bed In-Patient Ward, Day Therapy, hospitality for delegates in our Professional Development Centre, and staff and visitor dining. As a Chef de Partie you will take responsibility for the production of high quality meals for our patients under the leadership of the Head Chef.
Your role will be to assist the Catering & Hospitality Services Manager and Head Chef with the day to day organisation, control and smooth running of all sections within the kitchen. Ensuring that standards of food preparation, cooking and presentation are maintained to the agreed standards at all times. To provide: Breakfast, Lunch and Evening Meals for our 31-bed inpatient ward Lunch and high tea for our Day Therapy patients – weekdays only Support the Hospice Café service as delivered by Volunteers Provision of patient food services (out of hours) Staff dining, Support with Corporate Hospitality for meetings, events and special functions.
Previous experience of working in a professional kitchen cooking fresh produce, ideally in a healthcare environment is desirable. You should have excellent interpersonal skills and experience in managing, motivating and leading a small team to deliver great results.
