Last week we were delighted to announce the winners of the LOROS Accumulator Challenge 2014. LOROS visited the winner of the “Most Innovative Idea” – The Plant Man – at their beautiful garden centre.
Over 250 guests attended the event and tied a coloured ribbon of their choice on to the red maple tree at the Hospice.
Sir David & Lady Samworth opened their gardens to LOROS, who held a charity luncheon garden party in a beautiful marquee in the wonderfully landscaped gardens of Markham House, Thorpe Satchville. The event was kindly sponsored by Mattioli Woods, one of the UK’s leading providers of wealth management and employee benefit services.
On Sunday 29th June Team Mojo took part in the first of their charity events for LOROS and are pleased to announce that despite a few falls, cuts, bruises and scratches, they have all survived.
A table tennis tournament has raised £3,000 raised for LOROS hospice.
Congratulations to LOROS Volunteer, Sophie Edwards, on coming first place, in the large cake category, in our Bake a Cake Competition
During the months of March - June local companies competed in the LOROS Accumulator Challenge. Twenty teams raised well over £6,000, which is equivalent to the cost of a LOROS Community Nurse Specialist being able to visit 65 terminally ill patients in their homes in Leicester, Leicestershire or Rutland.
FRIENDS and relatives of former Kinchbus driver Malcolm “Smut” Stafford who died last January, are staging a series events to raise money for LOROS in his name.
