A new event on the 2013 scenic tour calendar for classic cars, raised £1800 for LOROS and is set to run again in August this year.
A man whose father died at LOROS is hoping to encourage schools and businesses to take part in a fund-raising non-uniform day.
On Saturday 26th April, sisters, mothers, daughters, friends, partners and colleagues took over Leicester town centre in their quest to raise funds for LOROS.

A blues band comprised of Leicester City fans has written a charity song to celebrate the club's promotion to the Premier Leagueand and the proceeds from the sale will go to LOROS and The Stroke Association
Stephen Howell, 28, from Scraptoft, was in Loughborough knocking on doors to collect cash for LOROS this week when he smelled smoke coming from a home nearby.
Christian Weikert-Picker, a fundraiser at LOROS, said: "What is extra special is that the customers have chosen to support the hospices for the long-term. It shows how the community represented by the savers is firmly behind what the hospices achieve."
So far the team have come up with ideas including "Schnauzers in Trousers" and "Pugs on Rugs" but the real gems are a closely guarded secret
