Each company has been handed £50 by the charities and will try to make as much money as possible from within three months.
Charity bosses at LOROS say they will have to cancel the event at Mallory Park, near Hinckley, if no-one comes forward.
Gary Foster and Hugh Valentine are currently cycling from Land’s End to John O’Groats to raise money for charity.
