Businesses in a Rutland market town are rallying to support the charity shop which lost £400 in a break-in by heartless thieves.
This Girl Can, an event organised by Leicester-Shire & Rutland Sport has raised a superb £979 for LOROS.
The annual LOROS Accumulator Challenge officially kicked off on 16th March and the participants now have three months to grow their £50 as much as possible, just as long as it is legal and ethical.
Working in partnership with The Great Central Railway, the event saw around 200 people walk a five miles route for LOROS before enjoying a trip on the LOROS Express.
The business has taken delivery of a LOROS pop-up donation station where colleagues can donate clothing, bric-a-brac and other unwanted, quality goods.
LOROS Hospice are desperate to secure around 40 more volunteers for this year’s event, which is taking place on Saturday 9th April.
Colleagues at the Sainsbury's Local store on Queens Road, Leicester have very kindly donated 40 Easter eggs for the patients attending Day Therapy at the Hospice.
Staff from LOROS were invited to attend the HSBC Roadshow to talk about volunteering opportunities and ways of supporting their local hospice.
