This 9-week multi-professional distance learning programme is aimed at helping consolidate and develop confidence and expertise in palliative & end of life care. This leads to a highly respected qualification founded and coordinated by Princess Alice Hospice and delivered by approved sites nationally.
This foundation level workshop teaches the communication skills needed to notice distress, listen carefully and respond with empathy. It is interactive in nature and uses a mix of small group work, lectures and rehearsals to teach participants how to have an evidence-based, structured conversation with someone who has concerns or is distressed.
This interactive study day considers best practice in advance care planning discussions for staff who complete documentation for the ReSPECT process. This is led by a palliative medicine consultant.
