The National Audit Office today released a report into the financial sustainability of hospices. LOROS Hospice is calling for this report to mark a turning point in the debate over hospice funding, and urges government to step in to create a more sustainable funding model.
Staff at LOROS Hospice – including nurses on the inpatient ward – swapped their uniforms for pyjamas yesterday, as part of a fundraiser celebrating the launch of a new charity sleepwear range.
40 giant elephants from LOROS Hospice’s Stomp Round Leicester art trail were auctioned off last night, raising a mammoth £286,800 for the charity.

This September marks LOROS’ 40th birthday since it first opened its doors in 1985.
In a few days’ time on 2nd September, it will be 40 years since LOROS first opened its doors to the people of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.
